YOU CAN HELP
CONKERR CANCER. Please join us on the first Wednesday of the month from 1230pm to 430pm to make a cheerful pillowcase for a child who is sick with cancer or another serious illness.
Help make hospital stays as pleasant as possible for chronically ill children. Join ConKerr Cancer (www.ConKerrCancer.org) in their mission to brighten the lives of sick children in hospitals through homemade pillowcases. Making a pillowcase is easy, rewarding and it can have a positive impact on a child in need. To help this worthy cause, you may:
*Make a cheerful pillowcase.
*Donate fabric or other sewing materials.
*Donate funds to help purchase supplies and expand the effort. Donate through their website or mail to: ConKerr Cancer, 295 East Swedesford Road #396, Wayne, PA, 19087. All donations will be applied to the ConKerr Cancer chapter you designate.
DON'T FORGET...
PROJECT LINUS. We are a drop-off point for Project Linus (www.ProjectLinus.org). All materials donated or used for blanket making are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided. To help this worthy cause, you may:
*Donate a new, handmade blanket (sewn, crocheted, knitted or quilted). Any size from 20" x 25" up to 50" x 72" is acceptable. Blankets need to be durable, machine washable and dryable and made in child-friendly colors and patterns.
*Buy and donate an extra yard or two of blanket making materials. Cotton, flannel, fleece and low-loft batting are needed.
*Make a tax-deductible donation to help cover costs of the 100% volunteer effort.
